Recently Geoff Carleton (Bus '04), Principal at Traffic Engineers, presented plans to upgrade FM 1092, an important corridor in southwest Harris and Fort Bend counties. At a Stafford City Council meeting on Nov. 20, 2013, Geoff reviewed the analysis commissioned by the Houston-Galveston Area Council.

When Carleton finished his presentation Councilman Cecil Willis described the plan as “intriguing, interesting, thought provoking and a modernistic approach to what we presently have out there.”
In addition to improving safety and mobility, the plan recommended sidewalks and bike lanes. Opportunities to connect with a METRO Park & Ride were presented. Whether or not all the amenities come to light, it was clear improvements will contribute to healthier economic development in the area.
