On September 24, the Club, along with the MBA Council of Houston (of which Columbia is a Founding Member) and the Center for CREATIVE Enterprise in Houston, hosted a seminar on impact investing. George Worthington, outgoing President of CUCSTX chaired the event. 22 panelists and experts addressed five sessions with 91 people in attendance, exploring issues such as financial innovations in wealth and job creation, social finance, philanthropy, and crowd-funding. Among the attendees were Columbia alumni Eyra Dzakuma (SIPA '13), Ivy Yang (PH '05), and John Dean Alfone, who filmed the convening. Thanks to all who attended!
