Nanci Loren (Social Work '90) has invited all of Columbia Club to come see the friendly, often rare, animals at her farm in Shepherd, TX. My Animal Farm is 60 miles northeast of Houston on US 59/Interstate 69, and we'll go rain or shine.
Saturday November 14, 2015
1 pm: Enjoy a tour of the farm and see rare and endangered heritage species of sheep, goats, horses, chickens, guineas and rare and unusual dog breeds. The ranch does not flood but the stable can get muddy. If it has been raining, water/mud boots are recommended. You may want to bring folding chairs to sit around the pond.
4 pm: Come along with us for dinner at The Ranch Hand country restaurant. Prices range from $8.95 to $22.00.
7 pm: Cap the evening at The Liberty Opry featuring live performances of oldies music from the 50's-60's. Price $12 (if 20 or more people, price drops to $11).
