Psychedelics and the Law

The psychedelic renaissance has arrived. As recently noted in the New York Times (link), FDA approval of the first medicine to be used in psychedelic-assisted therapy is around the corner. At the same time, numerous states are moving to change their laws to decriminalize or legalize psychedelic substances for personal, wellness, or therapeutic use. What will the landscape of psychedelic medicine look like?

Join fellow alums in downtown Houston for an after-work presentation by attorney Matt Zorn, a partner at Yetter Coleman, Columbia alumni, and nationally recognized authority on the shifting legal landscape in psychedelics. The presentation will include an overview of the landscape of psychedelic reform and psychedelic medicine along with hot-button legal issues involved in psychedelic-assisted therapies, including IP practices, regulatory issues, and professional norms (e.g., malpractice, informed consent). Drinks and light bites will be provided.
